the writers of my favorite project runway blog are the some of the best gays on this planet because they've turned me on to not only some delicious eyecandy on the runway but a whole slew of shows that i never would have even known existed. the latest of which is downton abbey on pbs. i've just added it to my dvr and i am ever so excited after reading their last post about it. i can only dream of a wardrobe of lush fabrics and fancy hats to be inspired by.
these "period" shows make watching tv an experience rather than just a spectacle. sure the scripted lines are spectacular but my inner geekiness loves all the historical and cultural references paired with all the costuming. it's such a nice break from your broiler plate dramedy.
i've also watched all of the first season boardwalk empire. awards season always makes me so eager to see what's getting attention and its such a great way to start off the year and get distracted every now and then.
i'm usually such a stickler for keeping my lineup since i don't ever have time for live viewing. all my lollygagging is usually done over a long sitting since i find this to be more productive. harry's law and raising hope are my new additions as of late - both are excellent shows.
