amidst towering trees, open skies, and chiseled mountains, we spent two days in breathtaking yosemite valley over the weekend. my high school girlfriends and i had the brilliant idea of bringing together our families for some good old fashioned camping. in other words, what white people do. (lol)
it was a first for all of us and set a precedent for labor day weekends to come. the quiet of the night really gets you thinking...and not just about bears that may come lurking into your camp. if technology were accessible in the middle of those towering pines, i am sure i would've indulged in a blog entry or two.
i haven't been doing so great with blogging and this disappoints. but it reminds me that i haven't been needing to. many years ago i started blogging mostly to let go of things that weighed me down. it was like having a conversation with myself. then i became motivated by wanting to document everything i did. and then soon i realized i actually had a viable opinion worth sharing with the world.
so i guess this means the lack of wifi in the wilderness was actually a good thing.

from my lush homeland to the city by the bay and into the far reaches of the suburbs, i've made my home twice. it was fun in my 20's and even better in my 30's. documenting it all makes me feel important (to myself). here you'll find my multi-tasking adventures with food and the fashionable, my love affair with my dvr, an occasional moment of profound thought, a lot of useless yet laughable ranting, and lately stuff about my life in constant re-arrangement. i'm only fab-ulous because it's in my name.
