my brain has been hurting since last week....having to process the president's state of the union address, the 11000 pages of draft eis, the draft eis-isms that came after, and 4 deadlines at work can really make your brain implode unto the left lobe. but alas, a couple hours of reading forum after forum and blog after blog proved lucrative when i stumbled on the link to pbs's "now" featuring tmb ( the.military.build-up - i am so tired of saying (hearing, thinking, eating, breathing,... the whole thing these days!).
it gives a poignant perspective on tmb. while i don't agree with every point, it sheds new light on issues that have not been as public on the local front. what caught my attention even more...was the segment's highlighting of women of importance and that the tmb is a viable threat to the women of this island. our island, after all, is rooted in matriarchal society. but all this tmb talk has made me feel less entitled to (voicing, speaking, writing, expressing...) an opinion when so many are passionately fighting for their personal beliefs.

from my lush homeland to the city by the bay and into the far reaches of the suburbs, i've made my home twice. it was fun in my 20's and even better in my 30's. documenting it all makes me feel important (to myself). here you'll find my multi-tasking adventures with food and the fashionable, my love affair with my dvr, an occasional moment of profound thought, a lot of useless yet laughable ranting, and lately stuff about my life in constant re-arrangement. i'm only fab-ulous because it's in my name.
