when i first moved here it was absolutely the right move to ride the wave and enjoy the rare run of projects that ARI alotted me. after the wave, nothing.
it was time to be resourceful and move on to federal projects. here at dzsp, it has been busy and i am valued. but my career can only go so far. my architect's license is on the horizon and sticking around would get me nowhere as a licensed architect. sure, i've been consulting and assisting with design projects - but none lucrative enough to keep me. i don't see myself here building the next concrete box on a budget or hopping on to work for the man. and don't forget that code enforcement and design review on the island is non-existent.
designing and being in a firm of like-minded individuals or inspiring mentors is where i need to be. i have been reaching out to the networks i left behind and the mood is hopeful. i think there is room for me to pick up where i left off with my new exposure and drive.

from my lush homeland to the city by the bay and into the far reaches of the suburbs, i've made my home twice. it was fun in my 20's and even better in my 30's. documenting it all makes me feel important (to myself). here you'll find my multi-tasking adventures with food and the fashionable, my love affair with my dvr, an occasional moment of profound thought, a lot of useless yet laughable ranting, and lately stuff about my life in constant re-arrangement. i'm only fab-ulous because it's in my name.
