blogging will come so easily this time around...now that i'm equipped with a blackberry and a lovely new camera from james.
every time the new year's celebration passes, i always think there's something i could've done differently. my first new year's back home, i learned that it was hard enough to find a place for kylan to join in on the festivities.
last year i learned that having it with folks was not as lame as i thought it would be. i mean...i haven't spent a new year's even with them since i was a kid! how would they react to all the revelry? but last year it was also my first new year's as a couple, err family and it was lovely seeing the fireworks from the balcony of our very own home.
ringing in 2010 was a bit dramatic to say the least...it required copius amounts of coordination but the food and a visit from the sister made up for it. in a mad dash to beat the clock from the shores of the outrigger resort, we made it just in time to join all the durnker-than-me people. we were even so ambitious in thinking that we could drop the kid home and get in line at the globe to join other drunk people...and then my sister had the bright idea of running a 5k at 5am and getting on a boat to go whale watching immediately after at 8am. i swear, sometimes i think she is delusional in thinking that she is ME...she can't pull it off but i love her.
