dare I say that Guam has fallen into mainstream status but the healthy amount of social media activity has caught my attention span for more than just five minutes of poring through the same stories (ahem, facebook). There isn't just that lone blogger pioneering their way amidst empty feeds and holding up the fort. I don't believe their presence has been lacking because of a lack of activity, I just think that people have finally caught on.
i do willingly make an effort to access the gamut of social (media) activity back home. I love knowing what my girlfriends are up to at any given hour or that the rain and power outages are still all the buzz.
and ooooh, those OOG (Only On Guam) headlines of senators wreaking havoc or no-names making it on the police blotter.
Sometimes they are eye-opening and most of the times they are head-shaking, then I'm quickly reminded and relieved that I am OFF-ISLAND.
