there was much to be said about how i feel about it.
i would never discourage this decision because i think everyone that has moved away needs to have this question answered on their own and get it out of their system. clearly, it's not for everyone...and the option to leave again would always be there. moving home is a perfect transitional decision...an interim rite of passage to set the tone for your life ahead of you. it is certain to be a change...and it can only be as great as you make of it. if you move home, bitch and moan, and keep to yourself...i'm pretty sure you'd be miserable. but if you move home and bother to enjoy all the sunshine and rain, the free spirits, and never-ending list of laughable only-on-guam moments, then it is your moment to conquer. sure there are setbacks and luxuries that aren't nearly as accessible as being on the mainland...but if people who've lived there have gotten by just fine, then its already been proven a perfect place to live.
